Hummu Sapiens Open Their First Hummusia In Kyiv

Modern restaurant of Israeli and Middle Eastern cuisine opened its door on Saturday, December 18, in the historic Podil district of the capital.
The new place by Hummu Sapiens is a classic hummusia, a fast-food restaurant format popular in Israel. And its staple is, of course, hummus. However, the place also serves falafel, shakshuka, and other popular dishes sure to satisfy the cravings of any Israeli cuisine fan.
Hummu Sapiens is primary a casual food place with a focus on healthy vegan and vegetarian options high in plant-based protein.
Additionally, hummusia also serves breakfast, appetizers, soups, hot dishes, and Middle Eastern desserts all day long. The alcoholic menu features signature cocktails and Israeli wines.
“The Israeli-Ukrainian Alliance is pleased that Israeli culture is spreading in Ukraine," says Olga Stolyarchuk, CEO of the Alliance's Kyiv office. “This is a double joy for us since Hummu Sapiens aren’t just our partners, but also a classic hummusia with authentic recipes and a wide variety of dishes.”
The restaurant’s team guarantees that their hummus is cooked the same way it’s been done for thousands of years with lots of tahini, chickpeas, and olive oil. Hummus here is served with mushrooms, roasted peppers, sun-dried tomatoes, and avocado. And the pita accompanying it is homemade.
“The format of the restaurant perfectly conveys the goal of the project of getting people acquainted with Middle Eastern cuisine and instilling a culture of its consumption,” says Evgeniya Tretyakova, Hummu Sapiens’s CMO. “After all, it is in the brick-and-mortar place where you can ensure the highest quality of dishes you serve. Hummu Sapiens was opened in December on purpose. We wanted to make a New Year present to all the fans of Israeli cuisine, as well as to people who already knew our hummusia and tried our hummus in one of the many cultural events around Kyiv where we operated as a takeaway kiosk.”
Come visit Hummu Sapiens at 16/7 Choryva St! The place is open daily from 10:00 to 22:00. The takeaway option is also available. Website: hummusapiens.com.ua
